Arugula is a tender green in the brassica family. Its flavor can be described as nutty, spicy, peppery, and lemony. Some people do not appreciate how pungent it tastes; if this is you, we recommend cooking arugula—it tempers the flavor and allows other ingredients to shine.
How to use it:
Raw in salads and on sandwiches
In pesto as a replacement for basil and other herbs
Sauteed with garlic and olive oil
Added to soups at the end of cooking time
How to store it: In the refrigerator, inside a non-breathable container (plastic bag, glass or plastic storage tub, etc.)
