For us, there is truly nothing like that first juicy bite of tomato to welcome summer. We wait through winter and spring, every year, to enjoy fully vine-ripened fruit, never settling for less: it’s worth it. We grow a variety of heirloom, red slicer, paste, and cherry tomatoes for your enjoyment.
How to use them:
Sliced thinly, served on toast with mayonnaise, salt, and pepper, for a truly transcendental tomato sandwich experience
Sliced into tossed salads, or in the classic Caprese style with mozzarella, basil, and balsamic
In soups and stews, especially the classic North African/Middle Eastern dish of shakshuka
Made into sauce and canned; we recommend Amish Paste for this, though our heirlooms and reds will work just fine
Topped and cored, then frozen whole for enjoyment throughout the wintertime
Eaten alone, with salt
How to store them: On your kitchen counter, out of direct sunlight, with their shoulders (stem-end) down.
